If you recognize this gorgeous girl, it’s because she’s no stranger to the blog! 🥰 I’ve had the absolute joy of photographing Carole-Leigh’s senior portraits throughout her final year — at a few different scenic locations that perfectly captured each season of her journey. Every session with her has been stunning, full of style, personality, and that radiant glow only she has!

A few months ago, as I was easing back into work after medical leave, Carole-Leigh reached out to see if I had time for one more quick session. And of course, I said YES! She wanted a short cap and gown shoot to celebrate this huge milestone — and while I don’t usually offer many of these, I love making exceptions for past clients, especially my incredible senior reps. 

We met up on her family’s property in Fayetteville, NC, and made the most of our 30-minute session. Carole-Leigh brought the perfect mix: her cap and gown (naturally), a classic grad dress, and the sweetest country-inspired outfit! It was the ideal balance of classy, fun, and completely her.

Even in a short session, we packed in SO many sweet moments: from twirling in the tall grass to tossing her cap in the air and celebrating all the joy this season brings. Because that’s what this time is all about, right? Celebration, reflection, and excitement for what’s ahead.

Carole-Leigh, thank you for trusting me again and again to capture your journey. You are an absolute light, and photographing you (even for a “mini” shoot!) is always such a gift. This cap and gown session may have been short, but it was FULL of favorites ~ so much so, it totally deserved its own blog post!

Final Thoughts

Getting to work with Carole-Leigh over the past year has been such a joy — not just because she’s photogenic (she totally is), but because she brings so much light and warmth to every session. From our very first shoot to this cap and gown mini, it’s been such an honor to capture her senior journey in all its beauty. These moments go by so quickly, and I’m always reminded just how special it is to freeze them in time — the excitement, the reflection, the sparkle of what’s next.

Carole-Leigh, thank you for allowing me to be part of your story. I can’t wait to see what God has planned for you in this next chapter. Keep shining, sweet girl!
