Moring Session
Give me sunshine, flowers, and a sweet family full of joy — and I am one happy photographer! Monet’s family session at the Rose Garden in Point Defiance Park was everything a late summer morning in Tacoma should be: warm, whimsical, and bursting with love.
From the moment they arrived, I could tell this was going to be special. Their soft, neutral outfits were the perfect choice, blending effortlessly with the vibrant backdrop of roses, palms, and golden light. But what really stood out? The way they interacted. So relaxed. So playful. So full of genuine connection.
We wandered through the garden paths, letting the beauty of the setting and the ease of the moment guide us. The laughter was real. The hugs were effortless. And those quiet, unposed moments, a mom’s hand resting gently on her daughter’s shoulder, shared smiles between sisters, the proud look on dad’s face, were pure gold.
And can we talk about the light?! That soft PNW glow filtered through the trees like something out of a dream. Every step brought a new little pocket of magic to capture.
One of my favorite images from the session is a simple group shot — everyone shoulder to shoulder, framed by the lush blooms behind them. It’s the kind of photo that belongs on a living room wall. A snapshot of this sweet season of life, frozen in time.
